About the Visionary
Best known as an astounding faith-based writer, Kyria M. Williams is a woman who puts no limitations on God. She inspires individuals to rise above the ordinary and to stay focused on the word of God even when it seems impossible. Kyria was raised in the church and attended on a regular basis, she learned later in life that church attendance “only” is not equivalent to having a true and genuine relationship with Jesus. Through her writing, audiences will experience Kyria’s passion for her Lord and Savior as well as her heart for marriage. She is proof that whatever God calls you to do can be accomplished with obedience, hard work, and persistence.
Sitting under the leadership of Pastor Raymond D. Horry and being inspired by his teachings, in 2012 Kyria was led and prompted by God to begin her writing career. Thus, KMW Productions was birth, a production company with a purpose to spread the gospel through theater and film. Since then, Kyria went on to complete a total of four stage plays including Love Changes Things, formerly titled There’s a Right & Wrong Way to Love, The Wake Up Call, Moving Forward, & Marriage Works, If, You Work It”. Over the last eight years, Kyria has created a buzz in the urban theater industry with her stage plays.
In 2017, Kyria partnered with Mullen Group Productions out of Atlanta, GA and leaped into the film industry, converting her stage play The Wake Up Call, into a feature award-winning film. After the overwhelming success of her inaugural film, it was then that she switched gears and began focusing entirely on film production.
Her sophomore film titled, A New Husband for Christmas birthed from her stage play, “Marriage Works, If, You Work It”, released on Amazon Prime, November 1, 2020 and is also currently streaming on TubiTV. A New Husband for Christmas is in such demand, it made Amazon & TubiTv’s top Christmas selections and one of the most popular films to watch. Kyria states this is only the beginning, there are many more films on the horizon.
Kyria is also a published author, her book “Are You Really His Good Thing”, co-written with Chrissie Appleby, is also featured in the film, A New Husband for Christmas. Taking off her behind the scenes hat for a season, Kyria was cast by Noir Diamond Films in a documentary titled, Black Girl Magic where she opens up and shares her life story.
Today, Kyria and her husband LeConte “Trey” along with their 2 children Shakyra and Sharrod live in St. Louis, MO where they attend and are active members at Ark of Safety Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Raymond and Minister Kathy D. Horry.
